Former Community Corrections Employee Arrested

In early May of 2019, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office received information of potential misconduct by a Shelby County Community Corrections employee.  The investigation led to a warrant being issued for Brandy Lee Gentry, 32 years of age from Calera, on the charge of Custodial Sexual Misconduct.  The alleged crime occurred while she was an employee at Shelby County Community Corrections and was related to her assigned duties.  On May 25, 2019, Brandy Gentry surrendered to the Shelby County Jail and was released the same day on a $5,000 bond.
